Card Counting

Card counting is a technique based on the idea that a deck with a high average of 10 is in favour of the dealer while a hand with a lower average , an average of around 6-7 and below the deck will be in the favour of the player. Card Counting isn't there to replace the strategy, it's mostly there to help those who count cards to decide about their odds against the house and make decisions regarding their bet. Card counting isnt all that necessiry nowadays, as most casinos policy is to shuffle the deck after each round.

How it is done

Card counting may seem like a great deal of mind work, but it really isn't! There are some very simple techniques for counting cards that can be mastered within a very short period of time. The main problem with card counting is seeing the card faces which make it harder on the counting player and may interfere in his basic strategy decissions. When you're playing face down blackjack and the dealer deals fast you'll have a problem seeing all the cards not to talk about counting them. You might have to peek in on other players, which mightbe embarrassing.

The Minus Plus technique

This is one of the easiest and most common techniques for card counting in blackjack. All you have to do is remember a set of numbers with their cordinating points and sum the cards played up. The points for the cards go like this : 2 through 6 cards are assigned +1 point, cards 7 through 9 are assigned the value of 0 points , 10 and Ace cards are assign the value of -1 points. When the sum of all points is below zero then you should know you're at a dis advantage against the house , when you're in a plus you should know you're in an advantage. When you're in favour you should take advantage of the situation and make larger bets.
